With Christmas right around the corner, here’s a recent Christmas-themed project. DaySpring is a provider of Christian greeting cards, e-cards, and merchandise. We designed this series of online banner ads for use during the holiday season.
The ads feature Christmas gift ideas available through DaySpring, and we designed them to compliment the look-and-feel of the recently redesigned DaySpring website. The banners are a mixture of static ads and Flash-animated ads.

It had been a while since we last updated the Our Work section of our website. We’ve added some of our newer work to each of the three sections — Web, Identity, and Print.
Preparing these portfolio items was a good reminder of how busy we’ve been, and how many fun and challenging projects we’ve been able to work on over the past few months.
We have plenty of other cool projects in the works that we’re eager to show off.
With all of the web projects that we do, we’re so happy to welcome Tyler Kidd as our newest Web Developer. Today was his first day at ACG, and I expect that he’ll be back tomorrow for more.
Tyler will be responsible for the development side of websites ranging from simple informational sites to Flash-based sites to custom web-based applications. In addition to his web development expertise, Tyler also brings experience in video production and 3D modeling and animation.
Welcome Tyler. We’re thrilled that you’re part of our team.

We have been working over the past few months on designing a new logo for John Brown University, and we were excited to be on hand today when JBU President Dr. Pollard introduced the new logo to faculty and staff.
Our goal was to create a simple and contemporary mark that symbolically represents the core values of the university. The three-pointed shield and three dark quadrants represent JBU’s threefold mission of educating the Head, Heart, and Hand. The cross in the center represents the university’s motto since 1919 of Christ Over All. The lighter blue quadrant depicts the top of the Cathedral — the most iconic building on campus. Finally, the circle in the center of the cross depicts the new Cathedral group plaza in the center of campus.
We are seeking to hire a full-time web developer/programmer. The ideal candidate will be capable of working from design comps to code simple informational websites, Flash websites, and complex database-driven websites. Development expertise should include: XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, Flash, ActionScript, PHP, and mySQL. The developer should be comfortable working with open-source content management systems such as Joomla, WordPress, and SilverStripe. An understanding of MVC programming, PHP frameworks, and JavaScript libraries is a plus.
In choosing a developer for this position, we value integrity, self-motivation, hard work, and a positive attitude. The developer must be up for working in a fast-paced environment, working on multiple projects simultaneously, and taking on new challenges.
If you are interested in applying for this position, send your resume and examples of your work to david@adaircreative.com.
Today was a big day for our client NanoMech. They opened the doors to Arkansas’ first nanomanufacturing facility, and Governor Mike Beebe was on hand to mark the occasion. I can’t tell you all of the science behind nanotechnology, but I can tell you nanotechnology is the key to many amazing innovations that we will see in the next 10-20 years. Better lubricants, lighter and more durable body armor, more effective produce packaging, and coatings harder than diamonds are just a few of the innovations that NanoMech has already introduced. It is a technology with unlimited potential, and this company is truly holding lightning in a bottle.
In conjunction with their ribbon cutting, we launched NanoMech’s completely revamped website yesterday. The website introduces the company, provides background information on nano, and profiles each of the 5 nanomanufactured products they have already brought to market. We recently helped launch the ZipHat, a simple but exciting new product. At first glance, the ZipHat is a regular ball cap. Give it a closer look, and you’ll find a discreet zipper. When you unzip the zipper, it removes the crown to leave a visor. The ZipHat has unlimited applications, from sports fans and athletes to corporate uniforms and novelty hats.
We designed the ZipHat identity, as well as creating a micro-site to introduce the hat. The website features photo-realistic 3D tours of the hat, as well as basic information about the company and the hat applications.
Give it a look here, and watch for the ZipHat to hit the shelves later this year.
Today is a day of note at Adair Creative Group. We are now 2 years old!
Just like our first year, we have been stretched and challenged this past year. I am thankful for our wonderful clients, our new team members, and the many projects that have come through our doors. More than ever, I’m excited to see just what the future holds!
