An Extraordinary Company

Sunday, August 29th, 2010

When I first met with InvoTek about the prospect of redesigning their website, I was overwhelmed by their passion. InvoTek is a small company that does big things in an understated way. In short, they develop technologies that help people with severe disabilities interact with the world around them. They’re not in it for money or fame. They truly care about making an impact in the lives of those they serve.

They needed a website that would better tell their story, connect with donors and caregivers, sell their products, and boost their new Be Extraordinary program. The Be Extraordinary program connects sponsors with real individuals in need of help but without the financial means to secure this type of technology.

This website is built on a Content Management System, which allows InvoTek to maintain the website content themselves, including the blog area where both InvoTek staff and customers contribute.

Here are a few screenshots from the new website. I’d also encourage you to visit www.invotek.org and view some of the video stories about the lives they impact.

Our First App: Shiloh Mobile

Friday, July 2nd, 2010

We are excited for the release of our first iPhone app. It is available in the iTunes App store as of today.

Shiloh Christian School asked us to create an app that would allow Shiloh parents to keep up with everything going on at the school. The app provides news, blogs, newsletters, calendars, lunch menus, and faculty contact information. Additionally, parents can refer new students directly from the app, choose a Shiloh wallpaper for their phone, and check local weather. The app will also send parents a push notification for highly important and time-sensitive announcements such as school closings.

The app is free and available through the iTunes app store.

Help For Haiti

Friday, June 4th, 2010

For the past few years, we have had the privilege to work for Hope Force International out of Nashville, TN. Hope Force is a non-profit organization that trains, equips, and mobilizes “reservists”, or volunteers, in the case of natural or man-made disasters.

When a series of devastating earthquakes hit the island nation of Haiti in January, Hope Force was among the first to respond on the ground in Haiti.

As the organization’s response to the Haiti disaster took shape, Hope Force asked us to create a series of materials to bring a unified identity to their work in Haiti. Among these items were a logo, website graphics, e-blasts, support letters, a brochure, wristbands, and display materials.

There’s Something Happening in Downtown Bentonville

Wednesday, May 5th, 2010

We are proud that Downtown Bentonville is the home to our studio. It is rich in history, has a rich business culture, and it is rich in the arts. Downtown Bentonville Inc is a non-profit organization that supports the businesses and culture of Downtown Bentonville.

We recently launched a new website for DBI. The site is built on a content management system, allowing their staff to actively maintain the content. The website is a source of information on the events occurring in Downtown Bentonville, including the popular Farmers Market and First Fridays.

Some New Work

Friday, November 20th, 2009

It had been a while since we last updated the Our Work section of our website. We’ve added some of our newer work to each of the three sections — Web, Identity, and Print.

Preparing these portfolio items was a good reminder of how busy we’ve been, and how many fun and challenging projects we’ve been able to work on over the past few months.

We have plenty of other cool projects in the works that we’re eager to show off.

View our new stuff here.

2 Hats In 1

Sunday, April 19th, 2009

We recently helped launch the ZipHat, a simple but exciting new product. At first glance, the ZipHat is a regular ball cap. Give it a closer look, and you’ll find a discreet zipper. When you unzip the zipper, it removes the crown to leave a visor. The ZipHat has unlimited applications, from sports fans and athletes to corporate uniforms and novelty hats.

ZipHat | Two Hats In One

We designed the ZipHat identity, as well as creating a micro-site to introduce the hat. The website features photo-realistic 3D tours of the hat, as well as basic information about the company and the hat applications.

Give it a look here, and watch for the ZipHat to hit the shelves later this year.

2 Candles On Our Cake

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009

Today is a day of note at Adair Creative Group. We are now 2 years old!

Just like our first year, we have been stretched and challenged this past year. I am thankful for our wonderful clients, our new team members, and the many projects that have come through our doors. More than ever, I’m excited to see just what the future holds!

NWA Home Builders Re-Design

Today we launched the re-designed website for the Northwest Arkansas Home Builders Association. This non-profit organization provides services to the home building community, as well as services to consumers looking to build or remodel a home. The HBA’s Home and Garden Show along with the Parade of Homes are major events each year in our community.

The website features a password-protected member area, an online directory for consumers wishing to find an HBA member, event information, and much more. You may take a look at the new website at nwabuilders.com.

A New Day

Monday, March 16th, 2009

Today is an exciting day at Adair Creative Group.

We are now open for business from our new studio at 215 South Main Street in Bentonville. The paint is still drying, and there are boxes yet to be unpacked. But we have internet, coffee, and computers, so we’re busy at work. We are excited to be here in historic downtown Bentonville, and our door is always open if you are in the neighborhood.

In case one new thing is not enough, we also welcome Nic Taylor to our staff today as a Designer. Nic most recently worked as a designer at Walmart, and we are so excited to have him join us. Nic will be responsible for many areas of design, including logos, print materials, ads, and website interfaces. Welcome Nic!
